The Registrar is an interactive work of fiction by Sloane Harrow. This policy describes how the site handles information when you read or play. The Department of Continuity is fictional -- no actual municipal entity is registering your soul through this page.
What we collect
Game progress on your device. Your choices, registrant name, and unlock status are stored in your browser's localStorage (key: the-registrar-save) so you can continue later. This data stays on your device unless you clear site data.
Purchase information (future). If you buy Acts II or III through Stripe, payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
Analytics. We record anonymous funnel events (e.g. Act I complete, paywall view, share click) via privacy-conscious beacons. No names or story choices are sent.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account to play Act I.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your story choices for advertising profiles.
Cookies & storage
The app uses browser storage for save data and may register a service worker for offline reading. No third-party advertising cookies are used at launch.
